When should I come to UrgiKids?

From our specialized staff, to our welcoming setting, UrgiKids was designed for children, particularly those in emergency situations. But you can also come to UrgiKids for after-hour sick visits, minor trauma, wound care, lab work, x-rays, or anytime your pediatrician’s office is closed.

For wellness visits, physicals, school checkups and immunizations, UrgiKids recommends seeing your primary care physician.

What services do you provide?

UrgiKids provides a range of services including sick visits, treatment for injuries, wound care, lab work, and x-rays. We also carry most medicines so you can skip the pharmacy.

What age patients do you see at UrgiKids?

UrgiKids was designed for children of all ages, including infants and toddlers, pre-teens, adolescents and young adults.

Does UrgiKids accept insurance?

UrgiKids accepts most insurance policies and assists in filing claims. We’re currently a participating provider for the following insurance plans (and the list is always growing):

What if I don’t have insurance or my insurance is not accepted at UrgiKids?

The cost of urgent care is generally in line with most doctor visits, but much less than ER care. For out-of-network visits, UrgiKids offers flexible pricing plans based on a fixed, three-tier system in line with the complexity of treatment or services provided.

Do I need to make an appointment?

No, UrgiKids is a walk-in, private clinic that’s open after hours during the week, and on Saturdays. Stop by Monday-Friday from 12pm to 10pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 8pm.

Emergency visits take top priority, but if you’d like to make an appointment, we are happy to accommodate you whenever possible. Just give us a call.

What does it mean to “reserve my spot” at UrgiKids?

UrgiKids provides services such as lab work, wound care, sick visits or x-rays, which parents often prefer to schedule around their workday or social activities. Reserving your spot simply means that you can be sure your child be seen promptly at a date and time that’s most convenient for you.

How long will my child wait to see a provider at UrgiKids?

Our goal is to provide every child personalized care with a pediatric urgent care doctor within 20 minutes.

How long will my visit take?

Every situation is unique, depending on the service and severity of individual needs, but we always do our best to ensure each visit is carried out quickly and efficiently from start to finish.

When is UrgiKids open?

Monday-Friday from 12pm to 10pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 8pm.

If we already have a pediatrician, can we still be treated at UrgiKids?

Of course! UrgiKids works closely with your community’s leading pediatric and primary care providers to establish consistent and continuous care. We also ensure follow-up information is communicated immediately and directly with your pediatrician.

Do I need a referral from my doctor’s office?

Our partner network of pediatricians and primary care physicians most often provide direct referrals, however, you can certainly enjoy UrgiKids’ services without a referral. We take care of following up with your doctor.

Will my pediatrician know about this visit?

Absolutely. We communicate with your existing pediatrician or primary care physician to ensure your child’s health care is consistent and continuous.

Do you perform vaccinations or well-child checkups?

No. For wellness visits, physicals, school checkups and immunizations, UrgiKids recommends seeing your primary care physician.

How is UrgiKids different from other urgent care practices?

From our specialized staff, to our kid-friendly setting, Urgikids was designed specifically with your child in mind. From their first contact with UrgiKids, both parents and children feel welcome and at ease. Our doctors and nurses specialize in pediatric urgent care exclusively and are sensitive to the emotional and physical needs of children and adolescents.

What if I need to contact UrgiKids before noon?

UrgiKids is open from Monday-Friday from 12pm to 10pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 8pm. For emergencies on Monday-Friday before noon, we suggest calling your doctor or heading to the ER.

Is UrgiKids affiliated with any hospital or group?

While UrgiKids is private clinic, we partner with your community’s leading health care providers, and our network is always growing. However, we aim to supplement, not replace, your existing health care. UrgiKids accepts most insurance policies and assists in filing claims. For out-of-network visits, you’ll appreciate fixed and flexible pricing plans.

Does UrgiKids provide lab work and x-rays?

Yes. We have on-site digital X-ray and lab at each location fully equipped with the latest technology.
